Neid and Kellermann nominated for FIFA Women’s Coach of the Year

It was announced today that two Germans have made it onto world football governing body FIFA’s final shortlist for Women’s Coach of the Year.

Ralf Kellermann, coach of treble-winning VfL Wolfsburg, and national team coach Silvia Neid, who previously received the honour in 2010, are two of the three final nominees and are joined by Pia Sundhage. The Swedish national team coach received the award last year while still coach of 2012 Olympic champions USA.

"I`m delighted to be in the final shortlist for FIFA Women’s Coach of the Year," said Silvia Neid. "It’s a great honour and recognition for me. It’s a great sign for women’s football in Germany that my colleague Ralf Kellermann has also been nominated."
