Kohr and Gnabry out, Dahoud doubtful

DFB manager Stefan Kuntz must do without Dominik Kohr (FC Augsburg) for the U21 international game against England on Friday (20:00 CET). The midfielder suffered a lower-leg injury during Saturday’s game against Freiburg, and will remain in the care of his club’s medical staff. In place of Kohr, Schalke 04’s Thilo Kehrer has received his first call up to the U21s.

Serge Gnabry of SV Werder Bremen was already injured prior to his club’s game against RB Leipzig on Saturday, and is now being looked at by medical professionals in Munich. Brondy IF’s Hany Mukhtar has taken his place in the squad. After discussion with his club, it will be decided at a later date whether or not it makes sense for Gnabry to join the rest of the squad before their game against Portugal (Tuesday, 28th March, 18:00 CEST).

In addition, Mahmoud Dahoud’s availability has been called into question, but he has still travelled to Wiesbaden from Mönchengladbach, despite being injured for the moment.
