Goalscoring charts: Müller goes level with Bierhoff

World Cup winner Thomas Müller struck his 37th goal for Germany in the 4-1 win in Azerbaijan on Sunday evening and, in doing so, drew level with Oliver Bierhoff in 9th place on Germany’s all-time leading goalscorer list. Müller is the leading scorer of those still playing for Germany; Mario Gomez is the next active player on the list with 30 goals. Gomez’s strike in Baku drew him level with Ernst Lehner in 14th position.

Miroslav Klose remains as Germany’s all-time leading scorer with 71 goals, ahead of Gerd Müller (68), Joachim Streich (55) und Lukas Podolski (49).
